Q: Does anyone know when V fest 2008 tickets go on sale?
I’m looking for camping tickets o and does anyone know if you are allowed to pitch large 6 men tents?
A: I do not know, can be qu’il is necessary to wait still a little
Q: Camping gear for Pontiac Aztek?
I just bought a 2002 Aztek and it didn’t come with the camping gear (tent, matress and the thing to blow the matress up) and I can only find them for sale on ebay, where else can I look?
A: You could try a Pontiac dealer but now that they are discontinued you may have a hard time finding them. Ebay, or something like that, may be your only choice.
Q: Review of tents?
I just bought a Quest eagles peak 4 (9×9) dome tent for 59.99 from Dick’s sporting goods. They also had a coleman around that was a little bit bigger on sale for 79.99. Has anyone used either tents, and what is your opinion on which one is better? I really appreciate your help. It’s my first tent purchase and I dont want to be surprised when I go to use it. I dont want to ruin a nice weekend camping with a junky tent. Thanks…..Drew
A: The Quest tent is not highly rated on Buzzillions:

You might want to return it, and go for the Coleman.

This is for camping @ a campground in RI. Just for the weekend nothing heavy duty. Just for me and my girlfriend to get away from it all!
A: First of all a 9×9 is a huge tent for two people that like each other.Go to one of the smaller and better made Eureka tents and rather than have the disposable item you have now you can have tent that will give some service for a while
http://www.eurekatent.com/filterTool.aspx?cID=6
Then there’s the guys over at campmor who everybody that does this long enough will eventually do business with
http://www.campmor.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=40000000226&storeId=226&categoryId=45760&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=250
Then there’s the nice folks over at EMS who I have been doing business witth for the past 35 years or so and have never had a bad thing to say about them Theres one in Cranston RI
Regardless of what you will ultimatley buy , you will need to pitch at least 10 -15 times in your backyard in order to familairize yourself with how it all works
Take the time to have somebody hose it down while you’re inside of it and see where and if it leaks and and then either return the tent or solve the problem if it does leak
Good luck
Q: who makes white stag tents?
I recently found a backpacking tent at a rummage sale that is a “white stag hex-dome backpacking tent.” the company appears to be henderson camp products inc., located in chicago. does this company still exist? i’d like to find more information about what kind of conditions this tent would be ideal for, care and maintenace, etc.
A: “White Stag” appears to be a brand of canvas for tents and sails:
http://dlxs.lib.wayne.edu/d/dhhcc/bios/whitestag.html
The only reference I can find to “Henderson Camp Products”, is an address found on this site:
http://www.familytravelguides.com/articles/camping/equip.html
The address listed is “HENDERSON CAMP PRODUCTS 300 West Washington Street Chicago, Illinois 60606″. The bottom of the site says “2006″, so perhaps the company still exists and the address is valid. Good luck.
Q: how do you find the sales price on homework problems?
I’m in Pre- Algebra and i cant find the answer to this problem?
Ms. Berg bought a tent for her camping trip. The tent cost $117.00, and a 7% sales tax was added at the register. Ms. Berg gave the cashier seven $20.00 bills. How much change should she receive?
A: % 7×117/100=8.19 always .
seven $20.00 =140
117+8.19=125.19
so $140-$125.19 = 14.81
remember ward problems needs to be read more than once.
Q: Does anyone in n.c. have a used pop-up tent camper for sale cheap?
I want to try some camping soon with the grandchildren!!
A: ok i’ll give it to you for 0.01 usd
Q: on dizzywood.com in the explorers camp how come i cant see the for sale sign and boxes.?
its behind the clothing tent.Do i have to do somthing. It shows up on my friends thing .
A: They removed those boxes a long time ago. Now you just click on the tent to buy clothes. I don’t know why they show up on your friend’s computer but they’re not supposed to be there i think.
Q: Yosemite camping for 6-25-09?
I need a camp site……… couldn’t get any reservations for camping in Yosemite Valley for 6-25-06 to 6-28th. Does anyone have room to share a camping site at North, Lower or Upper pines camp grounds? My group is 2 adults & 2 children w/one large tent. I think the max is 6 people per site.
Really………..How do you get reservations for June when it books “immediately” the minute they go on sale??? There must be a special way of doing it? Can’t imagine trying to book more than one site!
Thanks!
A: To be honest you have to log in about 5 minutes before 7 am [when the reservations open] Pacific time and book one.
Last year I got a site during Memorial Day weekend and everything was gone within 5-10 minutes.
Keep checking back. Good luck!!
Also, you can try Housekeeping Camp. It’s a little more expensive but it is much more likely to open up. However since you are looking for a weekend I doubt you will find anything.
Try a Sunday to a Wednesday those are the best times to be there.
Q: Do things like this happen to you?
Cooking a spot of dinner last night and me and the girlfriend are talking about camping stuff and tents as the festival season is coming up and tickets going on sale. She was at the sink washing something and she was saying about a guy at work. He had been telling her about this tent he had and she says, “He told me, never ever go camping with a pregnant woman. The hormones, all they do is moan and whine!” to which I replied with a massive grin on my face, “Isn’t that all women?.” She carried on washing up and said, “Oh, no he has a caravan now so he still goes with her”
Maybe you had to be there but it still amuses me now…..
Add some of your brainless stories
No Meagin she is not pregnant. She does things like this all the time. Jokes go right over her head and she carries on as if I’m agreeing with her, which makes it more fun for me
A: An ex of mine had a girlie night in and they played Trivial Pursuits, her question was where are the pyramids, to which she replied France, after some bemused looks the other girls informed her that they were actually in Egypt, to which she replied…’Oh yeah, well I knew it was somewhere near France…..
Q: What does it mean? Nothing selling, even food sales are down 4%!?
Houses, cars, everything is not not being sold. People are buying cheaper groceries and holding on to every red cent. Guess that indicates the mood in the nation, you think? Hell, they are offering 2-fer-1 sales on autos in my neck of the woods and nobody is buying. Lock and load. I bought a tent and a camp stove. Have most everything else needed for wilderness survival. Just waiting for the word.
A: And it will only get worse.

A: Make funeral plans. You’ve got everything else covered.
I used to do this for a living. I used to tell people, you plan your whole lives out, and leave the very last thing for others to do.
It looks like August is free.
Check out cemeteries and funeral homes. Choose what you want and get on a payment plan.
It’s the kindest thing you can do for your family.
Q: Do you understand why I am so proud of the peoples in Sri Lanka?
In a matter of a few weeks with minimal foreign assistance we have taken people who were camped in tents and driven from one end of the island to the other by a terrorist organization and have them in structured housing
http://www.lankaenews.com/English/news.php?id=7868
The ratio of men and women is very similar and children are being schooled, persons are receiving job training, former LTTE are going through programs to reintegrate into society, residual LTTE elements are being traced, families are being reunited.

I am pleased to hear that South Korea is so happy with their development model but Sri Lanka’s development model is different and I do not believe that it will take 60 years for us to reach a 20K median income. South Korea as every sovereign nation has its own limits but they differ greatly with those of Sri Lanka. I truly enjoy the warm and gracious hospitality of your peoples from both the north and south when I have visited and find that your security forces are very well behaved and maintained. But we are not interested in becoming a little Japan though Japan also has its own charms but admittedly South Korea and North Korea would have been on a much quicker economic development trajectory if not for Japan. We are not so interested in back ending a stream when we are the gateway to the Orient. A few world wars does not change the history of our countries and we always look forward to occasional visits from our distant neighbors but our tropical perspective and cultural ties predicate much of what our growth and development streams are, have been and will continue to be. We will never a large chemical manufacturor for we are more environmentally concerned, we chose when and who develops hospitality on our island for we try to limit those things that conflict with the great and vast spiritual nature of our island. Ship building is not a stream that we need to proceed with in the short term for their are other matters that take precedence and we are well on the way to IT development, We are much more focused on clean industry such as assembly rather than dirty industries such as manufacture. We believe in saving our carbon credits and can possibly offer some for sale as that would be much more along the lines of our future view than creating large carbon expenditures. We would never erode the monuments of our culture and civilization as we have a preservationist mentality.

CHECK DRAFTS NOW GATES/RAJA
Rudukumar should understand that at the end of the year means at the end of 365 days of no violence, no lies and conjecture in the media, no economic terrorism, no fraud, no drug dealing, no arms running, no Selveraj Pathamathan. That year does not begin until the Tamil diaspora SINCERELY apologizes for 30+ years of terror and havoc wreaked on Sri Lanka through diaspora and foreign elements. It also means turning in for prosecution ALL parties that have been conducting such either at home or abroad. The Tamil diaspora is nowhere near step one. I suggest that these terrorists find another country to accomodate them because the Tamils that were born and live in Sri Lanka are Sri Lankans first and foremost. The most that you can attempt is to speak for 800,000 people who collectively terrorised every community including their own at home and abroad. That is not much to stand for so I suggest that you revise your LTTE leanings and give up KP, Castro et al. You are the discriminators not us

Q: An Indian sales guy……may be old…?
Anecdote about an Indian sales guy….
The Manager says: “Do you have any sales experience?”
The Indian says: “Sir, I was a salesman back home in India.”
Well, the boss liked the Indian chappie so he gave him the job. “You start tomorrow. I’ll come down after we close and see how you did.”
His first day on the job was rough but he got through it.
After the store was locked up, the boss came down. “How many sales did you make today?”
Indian boy says: “Sir, Just one sale.”
The boss says: “Just ONE? No! No! No! You see here our sales people average 20 or 30 sales a day.” If you want to keep this job, you’d better be doing better than just one sale. By the way, how much was the sale for?”
Indian boy says: ” $101 237. 64″
Boss says: “$101 237. 64? What did you sell?”
Indian boy says: “Sir, First I sell him small fishhook.
Then I sell him medium fishhook.
Then I sell him large fishhook.
Then I sold him new fishing rod and some fishing gear.
Then I ask him where he’s going fishing and he said down on the coast, so I told him he’ll be needing a boat, so we went down to the boating department and I sell him twin engine Chris Craft.
Then he said he didn’t think his Honda Civic would pull it, so I took him down to our automotive department and sell him that 4X4 Blazer.
I then ask him where he’ll be staying, and since he had no accommodation, I took him to camping department and sell him one of those new igloo 6 sleeper camper tents.
Then the guy said, while we’re at it, I should throw in about $100 worth of groceries and two cases of beer.
The boss said: “You’re not serious? A guy came in here to buy a fishhook and you sold him a boat, a 4X4 truck and a tent?”
Indian boy says: “No Sir, actually he came in to buy Anacin for his headache, and I said: Well, fishing is the best way to relax your mind.”…………………….
A: LOL!!! that’s one good asles guy…………if i had a company, i’d definately hire him
