A: Sorry, I can’t sift through Ebay for you, but that’s where you will want to look. Also you could put a wanted ad on Craigslist. There’s probably somebody with an 8 person tent that they bought for one camping trip and are ready to sell off.

A: Pitch them next to each other and use a tarp to go over the space in between them. This should give you a large room and two bedrooms.

A: Lots of people go camping in tents. At the campsite that we go to, there are 90% tents and only a few trailers. There are people of all ages in the tents. Sometimes even grandparents.

Q: Are there any recommendations for winter camping tents that can be heated and are big enough for two cots?
I have been camping in my Astro Van year around, but no longer have it.

Q: Who make the best camping tents for their price (low and high end)?
I want to get my boyfriend a camping tent for Christmas but I know very little about tents. I am currently looking at Alps Mountaineering, Coleman and Kelty. Which of these would you recommend? Are there any other tents that you would recommend? Which tents/ brands are the best deal? Is there anything else I should know about getting him a tent, i.e. I should also get a footprint?

A: Go to a good outdoor store- EMS, REI, Campmor…those are the 3 that first come to mind. Go to the tent dept and talk to the employees there. They can help you find exactly what you need. Make a list of features/sizes and price range that you are looking for and I`m sure they can find something that fits your needs. Like are you car camping or backpacking? Do you want a vestibule? Do the types of poles -fiberglass and aluminum really matter to you? Dont be afraid to ask questions and explain to them what you want, thats their job, that is why they are there

Q: What Do You Think Are The Best Camping Tents?
I would like to know everyone opinion on what is the best type of tent. I personally think that North Face–Summit Series tent seem to be the best tents. Apparently they have -60 F crack proof windows and are meant for harsh, cold, weather.

Does anyone out there think there is anything better than the summit series?

A: The best camping tents are ones that are easy to set up. Are roomy enough for you, your friends and the gear. Keep you warm and dry in all kinds of weather, and don’t cost an arm and a leg. Functionality for purpose is also very important. For example I endorse Coleman tents for family camping and most backpacking use where as for trekking long treks and summiting I would want a much lighter tent along the lines and style of your choice. Only one brand guarantees that you will have a dry tent inside and that is Coleman if your into summiting only then the north face will suit you fine but if you want a roomy tent then go with Coleman.

Q: Is there any camping tents that have doggie door attached?
i have seen one before but i dont remember where it was. it looked like a normal tent but in the back the was a little tent attached and in the inside there was a doggie door for the dog to get in the little tent.

if you know what im talking about could you list the website where you know where to get it.

Q: What do all the players in the Tour De France do when they sleep or eat? is it like camping out? tents?
when the tour de france participants are not biking, what are they doing? do they sleep in tents? do they have to cook for themselves and camp out? are they all sleeping in the same place each night, or do they just stop when they feel tired and “rough it” till the next day. How exactly does it work?

A: Each team has it’s own cook and when they stop in each town or city they stay in hotels or other similar accommodations. Each stage of the race has a start and finish location and a time window that each competitor must finish with in.

Q: are camping tents allowed in new york city beaches?
I bought a camping tent, the zip up kind and I was just wonderin can I put it up and chill in it while I’m at the beach or at a park like central park??

A: Can I just ask why you’d go to the beach and put up a tent? Seems like that kinda defeats the purpose of why you go to the beach.

Me and my family are about to go camping in illlinois but we want a good place that has little lake and allows tents.

A: check out any KOA’s (Kampgrounds of America) that might be in Illinois- KOA’s are really nice, clean, and kid-friendly, but the sites are often really close together and you probably won’t find one with a lake nearby so check out any county parks in your area ( you have to be a county resident to stay in one), state parks require reservations like a year ahead of time unless they just happen to have an opening, and i’m not sure if they’re are any national parks in illinois

Q: My daughter (7yrs) wants an indoor camping party, with tents, smores etc. What activites can we do ?
I got tin plates/cups for everyone and we’re going to make hobo packets for dinner. I thought of a ‘dressup like a camper’ game where they would have a sack of random clothes like plaid shirts, fake mustaches, and big old jeans. They would have to get everything in the bag put on and the first one finished would get their picture taken. But what else can I do so the kids have a camping theme activity ?

A: there is always duck duck goose. I like the ghost story idea also.

Or you can put different items in brown paper bags number them and close them up tight.

everyone has to feel the item and guess what it is. the one with the most correct answers wins.
